June- Full Moon
There will be a full moon today, Monday, June 29 at 4:56 p.m. PDT. The June full moon is known as the Strawberry Moon. It will be aligned with the constellation Sagittarius (sidereal astrology). This sign is represented by a centaur holding a bow and arrow and aiming at a target. It’s time to set goals and objectives or to take a moment to reassess the relevance of our existing goals.
The full moon will occur in the lunar constellation (nakshatra) known as Purvashada, the “invincible star.” This nakshatra is ruled by Apas, the goddess of purifying waters. It’s a good time to work with water, reconnect with it, take a bath, etc., to purify, regenerate, and heal yourself.
Mercury turns retrograde a few hours before the full moon, at 10:36 a.m., and remains so until July 23. During Mercury retrograde, we should double-check our appointments, avoid signing contracts, making commitments, or launching new projects. It’s a time for introspection and reassessment.
Every year, from July 4 to 8, the Sun aligns with the Sirius portal—an alignment of the star Sirius with the Sun and Earth. This can give us visions and intuitions from other dimensions. It’s time to pause, open ourselves to these cosmic energies, and receive these blessings! This year during this period, Venus will pass through a sensitive zone—the junction of Cancer and Leo—and then cross the south node Ketu for most of July. This could complicate relationships, bringing us face-to-face with our vulnerabilities and heartaches so that we can embrace and transform them. This conjunction could also lead to encounters with special or karmic connections and provide us with plenty of artistic inspiration to channel spiritual dimensions. Have a wonderful full moon!
