March - Full Moon
There will be a full moon on Tuesday, March 3, at 3:37 a.m., coinciding with a total lunar eclipse. The eclipse will take place between 1:50 and 4:02, the maximum will be at 3:33am. It will be fully visible in Vancouver.
The full moon with the south node can make us hypersensitive to energies, very emotional and nervous, especially with the square of Mars to Uranus, which can make us very tense and unpredictable, as well as the events around us. The procession of planets continues its journey and is now in Aquarius, opposite Leo: we may witness power struggles, both in our personal lives and on the political and social scene. The people may demand more justice and truth.
The full moon will be aligned with the constellation Leo (sidereal astrology), in the nakshatra Purva Phalguni (the fruits of the tree). Its deity is Bhaga, the Sun of bliss, the god of marital happiness and prosperity. Leo is ruled by the Sun, which is the atma (the soul). This is a good time to connect with our soul, with who we truly are, and to become aware of our nobility, our divine origins. Bhaga is the Beloved who sits within us, always present to comfort us and make us feel his love.
This constellation invites us to shine our light, not that of the ego which seeks to eclipse others at their expense, but that of the soul which illuminates with kindness and nourishes that of others. Its symbol is, among other things, a hammock. It invites us to rest after hard work, to take time for ourselves and for those we love. This constellation is also favorable for any work related to the media, such as making videos, films, photography, websites, blogs, etc. It is also a nakshatra for sowing seeds and any activity related to gardening.
According to Vedic astrology, the nakshatras Purva and Uttara Phalguni were originally called Arjuna, Krishna's disciple, a spiritual warrior against the forces of darkness. He represents our ego-mind in the service of Krishna, our higher Self, on the battlefield of life, and also our mind and emotions. Like Arjuna, who allowed himself to be guided by Krishna, we must listen to the guidance of our higher Self in order to make good decisions, move in the right direction, and be aligned with our divine plan. Happy full moon to all!
This full moon corresponds to Venus entering its sign of exaltation, Pisces, for most of March, and will join Neptune and Saturn. Venus brings a gentle opening of the heart and more creativity and devotion, and a mixture of idealism and realism.
Mercury is retrograde until the spring equinox. This is a time to reflect, reevaluate, and make adjustments. It's best to wait before signing a contract, making commitments, buying electronic devices, or starting a business! Happy full moon!
