May - Full Moon
The full moon will fall on Monday May 12 at 9:54 am Pacific time.
Sweet full moon of flowers
We call this full moon the “flower moon”, Buddha Purnima or Wesak. It is said that the Buddha was born on this full moon, and that he promised to return every year on this date to regenerate the earth with other divine beings. It's therefore a very auspicious full moon for spiritual experiences, contacts with the higher worlds, prayers, meditations and rituals.
The full moon takes place at the end of the constellation Libra (sidereal astrology). The Aries- Libra axis leads us to question the balance between giving and receiving, intransigence and compromise, thinking of oneself and thinking of others.
The full moon takes place in the lunar constellation (nakshtra) Vishaksha, the “star of purpose”. This is the time to set goals and stick to them with determination. It's represented, among other things, by a fork, and we might feel “at a crossroads” and take a different direction in our lives. Back in the day, this constellation and the one that follows (Anuradha) were called “Radha”, Krishna's beloved. They are linked to devotion and service, to union with the Beloved within us and everywhere.
Can you feel the energy starting to flow and everything accelerating? That's because the cluster of planets that have been in Pisces for the past few months is beginning to disperse. In fact, between April and June, up to 7 planets change constellation, which is exceptional in such a short space of time! And the fact that they're moving faster than usual can bring a lot of volatility, so we may find it hard to keep up!
First of all, on May 7, Mercury finally emerged from his long stay in his sign of debility (Pisces), which may have been causing us confusion and hypersensitivity, to enter Aries until May 23. However, beware of impulsive, hurtful words and overly direct communication!
Then, as every year, Jupiter changes constellation, this year on May 14, entering Gemini for a year, at the same time as the Sun enters Taurus. Excellent for all forms of learning and publishing, taking up gardening, getting back in touch with nature, which is coming back to life.
The lunar nodes also change constellation, as they do every 18 months. This year, they will enter the Leo-Aquarius axis on May 29, followed by Venus in Aries on May 31. Be careful not to get ahead of yourself in love, and don't get carried away with your feelings!
Finally, on June 7, Mars will leave its long stay in its sign of debility, Cancer, to enter Leo. Energy and fighting spirit are back after months of lethargy and passivity!
